We are sure you have noticed the amount of construction taking place on campus, and a few of our locations are right in the heart of it, as Plaza 900 and Sabai are currently being renovated. Those are not the only changes that you will see come August! Here is a breakdown of what you can expect:
This rendition of what Sabai will look like once finished is not too far off! The menu has been finalized and construction workers and management staff are working hard to get everything in place for its big opening in August. A Grand Opening event will be taking place as well, and more information on that will be available soon.
Rollins breakfast will be happening as it always has been, and will operate from 7:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m., Monday-Friday. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and that will conclude the all-you-care-to-eat portion of Rollins’ menu. Dinner will switch to an a la carte service with Rollins @Night (previously Rollins Late Night) which will begin at 6:00 p.m. every day of the week.
Rollins @Night will be open until 1:00 a.m. Sunday-Thursday and will close at 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
To start, July 6, 2014, will be the last day of the Summer Session to dine at Plaza 900. After that date, Rollins will become the all-you-care-to-eat residential dining option for students on campus, and Plaza 900 will be under heavy construction for the remainder of the summer.
Now, for fall semester changes. Due to the construction, Emporium will be in a temporary location for the fall semester, still located inside Plaza 900. Emporium Cafe will be open for breakfast from 7:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Monday-Friday. The Emporium will be open from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.
When Plaza 900 opens in August, it will feature 250 additional seats, a new pizza station, an additional deli bar and a second level. Construction will still be going on in parts of the building until January 2015, but we promise it will still be safe to eat there!
The MARK @Night:
The evening concepts of Rollins Late Night and The MARK on 5th Street will be featuring new names and an a la carte menu. Whenever you visit Rollins @Night or The MARK @Night, you will know that you can order a variety of items using partial meals. They are great places to visit for a late night study snack. Or, you know, just a snack.
We are very excited about all of the big changes that are coming soon, but we also understand that it can make things a bit confusing. We know that these changes will help us to nourish the Mizzou Spirit through good food, happy people and comfortable places. If you ever have any questions about Campus Dining Services, you can always call our office at 573-882-FOOD, email MUFood@missouri.edu or Tweet @mucampusdinig. We appreciate your patience during our projects!
