About the Kitchen and Events
The Culinary Development Kitchen opened in August of 2014, and is a 660-square-foot kitchen located inside Sabai. The kitchen is used for recipe development, staff training and a number of special events. Equipment in the kitchen includes a char broiler, refrigeration, two induction burners, a gas range and two convection ovens in a custom island suite, and a ten-foot table for guests. The kitchen is also home to the Culinary Discovery Series. These events, which happen multiple times throughout the semester, are both educational and entertaining. A Campus Dining Services chef will determine a four- to five-course menu, which is served to guests who have made a reservation.
