Centrally Located on Campus in the Reynolds Alumni Center across from Jesse Hall, the University Club is a private club for members, which specializes in fine dining and event services. Front of house operations are split into three departments: banquets, catering and dining room, featuring global cuisine with French and European influences. We are looking for personable, hardworking and attentive staff members who are available to work days, evenings and weekends.

Dining Room Operating Hours

The dining room offers a lunch buffet with reservations from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. The Tiger Bistro offers a la carte and bar service on Thursday and Friday from 4–8:30 p.m. On the second Thursday of the month, there is a Prime of Your Life buffet from 5–8 p.m.

Banquet and Catering Operating Hours

Banquets and Catering shifts are available based on event schedules and vary significantly from day to day. Banquet events are functions held at the University Club. Catering events are those that are served off-site.

We require a nametag, tie and apron, which may be purchased from the U Club. You provide black pants, a black button-up shirt, black polo shirt, black socks and black closed-heel and closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes.

Scheduling is done through an on-line program called Shiftboard, which requires staff to submit times they are available to work and allows staff to submit time off requests, and trade shifts with other staff on-line. Management posts shifts needed for events and staff can assign themselves or wait for management to assign shifts based on availability of employees and needs for the events.

The system works well with demanding academic schedules, as staff can ask off for all exams early in the semester and set up availability to accommodate classes and extracurricular activities.
