Mizzou Meals are student dining meals purchased in advance for an academic semester. Mizzou Meals use a combination of Tiger Taps and Dining Dollars. Tiger Taps are a tap-to-pay option in which students use their student IDs to pay for food and drink at the three dining halls—Plaza 900, The MARK on 5th Street and The Restaurants at Southwest —and for select meal options known as Tiger Tap Meals at four locations (except Ultimate Plan holders): Baja Grill, Mort’s, Savor Kitchen and Wheatstone Bistro.
Dining Dollars are personal, tap-to-pay flexible spending dollars that can be used at 20-plus dining locations on campus. With a student’s meal plan, they can eat when and where they want (with some limitations), throughout the semester.
A meal plan is required for all first-year students living on campus. They are automatically assigned a Level 3 Plan.
Students have the choice of a four-week or eight–week plan in the summer. In the fall, students who live on campus have five plan options. For students who live off campus, they have two options.
You can find the dining plans for students who live on campus listed on the Dining Plans page of our website at dining.missouri.edu/dining-plans.
All first-year students with an MU Housing contract are required to have a meal plan and are automatically assigned a Level 3 Plan, which includes seven Tiger Taps and $940 in Dining Dollars a semester. All students are encouraged to purchase a dining plan as Mizzou Meals make eating on campus easy, convenient and affordable. All students can change/update their dining plans through the drop date of the fall/spring semesters.
You can find the dining plans for students who live off campus listed on the Dining Plans page of our website at dining.missouri.edu/dining-plans.
The dining plans include a combination of Tiger Taps (tap to pay) and Dining Dollars (personal, tap-to-pay flexible spending dollars). Tiger Taps and Dining Dollars are immediately deducted from a student’s plan when they purchase meals, food and drinks using their student ID. The number of Tiger Taps and Dining Dollars varies depending on the plan.
Mizzou changed student dining plans to better align with our SEC peers, to provide students and families more options and flexibility, and to make the dining plan pricing clearer and more consistent.
Mizzou Meals replaced the discounts that were offered under the old dining plan in favor of a system that offers more clear and consistent pricing from location to location.
Students can change their dining plan until the course drop date of the fall and spring semesters, as stated by the Office of the University Registrar.

Since these vendors prepare their own recipes and menus, we are unable to use Zoutrition to reflect the nutritional information for their menu items. Students, however, are encouraged to reach out to the vendors directly for more information.
