Mizzou Meals
- Mizzou Meals are student dining plans. Mizzou Meals use a combination of Tiger Taps and Dining Dollars.
- Students tap to pay using their student IDs at each Campus Dining location, paying with either Tiger Taps or Dining Dollars from their dining plan. Taps and/or Dining Dollars are immediately deducted from a student’s plan when they purchase meals and drinks.
- Tiger Taps work on aTiger Taps work on a tap-to-pay basis.
- Tiger Taps can only be used at dining halls (The MARK on 5th Street, Plaza 900).
- Unused Tiger Taps expire at midnight every Saturday. New Tiger Taps are loaded at 12:01 a.m. every Sunday.
- Tap-to-pay, flexible spending account with a declining balance.
- Dining Dollars can be used at all Campus Dining Services locations, including Mizzou Markets.
- Additional Dining Dollars may be purchased at any point during the semester. Tiger Essentials plan holders may add up to $200 additional Dining Dollars per semester. Tiger Select and Tiger Advantage plan holders may add unlimited Dining Dollars per semester.
- Dining Dollars only roll over from the fall semester if a student maintains an active dining plan in the spring semester. All Dining Dollars expire at the end of the spring semester. Summer Dining Dollars expire on the last day of summer meal plans. Students can check their balance anytime.
- All first-year students with a housing contract are required to have a meal plan and are automatically assigned a Tiger Select plan, which includes five Tiger Taps per week and $1,370 in Dining Dollars per semester.
- All students are encouraged to purchase a dining plan as Mizzou Meals make eating on campus easy, convenient and affordable. All students can change their dining plans for the first three weeks of the fall and spring semesters.
For students who live on campus:
Tiger Essentials
- Cost: $1,760 per semester
- Includes:
- $1,760 Dining Dollars per semester
- Approximately 9 meals per week
Tiger Select*

- Includes:
- 5 Tiger Taps per week

- Approximately 19 meals per week
For students who live off campus:
Off-Campus Dining Plan
- Cost: $940 per semester
- Includes: $1,000 Dining Dollars per semester
- Approximately 5 meals per week

Yes, a student can change plans between semesters as long as it’s done within the first three weeks of the spring semester.
Other Ways to Pay
- Tiger Cash is a prepaid account used to make non-academic purchases at all Campus Dining Services locations, The Mizzou Store, MizzouRec, Mail Services and vending machines on campus. Tiger Cash funds are loaded onto a student’s account.
- To add funds or to reload your Tiger Cash, either:
- Visit the TigerCard website. To add money as a guest, choose the TigerCard website option labeled “Make Deposit.”
- Visit the main Campus Dining Services office inside Plaza 900.
- Visit The Mizzou Store customer service desk, located in the MU Student Center.
- Use the GET Mobile app.
Yes. Tiger Cash is accepted at all dining locations.
Gold Cash is a prepaid account available only for Mizzou faculty and staff, MU Health Care staff and UM System employees. (MU Health Care employees will need to get a campus ID.)
Locations and Menus
- Dining hall: A communal dining space where one Tiger Tap or entry fee allows you to eat as much as you’d like. You can customize your meal by visiting the various food stations and enjoying it in the dining hall’s seating area.
- Food hall: A common seating area surrounded by several restaurants that operate on an “à la carte” basis. Customers pay at each restaurant separately.
- Restaurant: Individual food vendors, ranging from unique in-house concepts to recognizable national brands.
- Café: A small, informal restaurant that primarily focuses on coffee, tea, snacks and other light refreshments.
- Market: A small-scale convenience store where you can quickly buy snacks, drinks and daily essentials.
- Plaza 900 is located at 900 Virginia Ave.
- The MARK on 5th Street is located inside Mark Twain Hall at 515 S 5th St.

Zoutrition is an online tool that can help you make wise choices to meet your nutritional goals when dining in Campus Dining Service locations. You will find this tool helps you to identify and select well-balanced meals, check the nutritional content of your food choices, identify possible allergens and food intolerances, and select preferences for specific types of diets such as vegetarian or vegan.
Savor Kitchen in Johnston Hall is a Certified Free From™ location. We also provide allergen-free choices at every location that can meet a wide variety of dietary practices, restrictions and food allergies. Both of our dining halls list common allergens on the menu board. If you have a specific concern or question about what is available, please contact us.
- We offer a wide variety of healthy food options at all our dining locations. You’ll find fresh salad bars in both dining halls and Savor Kitchen is an allergen-free location. To help you make informed choices, we also display nutrition information on menu screens at each location.
- You can use our online tool, Zoutrition, to identify and select well-balanced meals, confirm the nutritional content of our food, identify possible allergens and food intolerances and select preferences for specific types of diets such as vegetarian or vegan.
- We have a registered dietitian on staff and dietetics students who do their practicum hours with Campus Dining Services to help you navigate dining at Mizzou. Contact us to make an appointment with a dietitian.
We create menus based on current food trends, student feedback and our chefs’ culinary expertise. We also consider seasonal availability and partner with local vendors as frequently as possible.
Yes. You have the option of either eating in the dining halls or requesting a to-go container from the cashier and getting a carryout meal for one Tiger Tap. The dining halls are Plaza 900 and The MARK on 5th Street.
